The Countdown Begins: 3 Days Until Our Biggest Quest
In 72 hours, everything changes.
At 9:00 AM EST on January 1, 2026, the VAST Journey Kickstarter campaign goes live. We'll have exactly 30 days to raise the funds that will transform VAST Journey from an individual platform into a tool families and organizations can use together.
I'm not going to lie: I'm nervous.
What This Campaign Really Means
This isn't just about funding features. It's about validation.
For three years, I've been building VAST Journey. Testing it. Refining it. Watching it help people transform their challenges into achievements. It's won international recognition. It's proven effective with individual users.
But I keep getting the same requests:
"Can my family use this together?"
"Can I create custom challenges for my classroom?"
"Can our organization implement this with our team?"
"Can we support each other's journeys?"
The Team Platform - the expansion we're funding - answers all these requests. But before I invest four months of development time and resources, I need to know: do people actually want this?
That's what this campaign validates. Not whether the idea is good (I believe it is), but whether there's real demand.
Why Kickstarter
People sometimes ask: "Why not just build it and launch it?"
Because Kickstarter does something traditional launches can't: it creates community before the product exists.
Everyone who backs this campaign becomes part of the journey. You're not just pre-ordering a product. You're saying "I believe in this vision." You're investing in the possibility of transformation - for yourself, your family, your students, your team.
And if we don't reach our goal? Then I know there isn't enough demand yet. We save time, money, and disappointment. That's valuable information.
The All-or-Nothing Stakes
Kickstarter uses all-or-nothing funding. That means:
- If we reach our goal: credit cards get charged and coding begins
- If we fall short by even $1: nobody pays anything and the project doesn't happen
These stakes make me nervous. But they're also perfect. Either we have enough community support to make this real, or we don't. No half-measures.
What Happens in the Next 3 Days
Right now, I'm:
- Continuing to spread the word on social media
- Triple-checking every detail on the campaign page
- Preparing more social media content
- Reaching out to early supporters
- Taking deep breaths
Launch day momentum matters enormously in crowdfunding. The first 48 hours often determine whether a campaign will succeed. So I'm asking everyone who believes in this mission to be ready.
What You Can Do
If you're reading this before launch day, here's how you can help:
1. Go now on Kickstarter.com
2. Search: VAST Journey: Unlock the Hero Within You and Others
3. Watch the prelaunch video and read about the campaign. If it resonates with you, click notify me on launch!
4. You will have to create a free Kickstarter account
5. On launch day you will get an email from Kickstarter. Click it and access all the details about the new product and rewards on the campaign page. If it resonates, back the campaign on day one.
6. Share it with three people who might benefit
Early momentum is everything. The more support we can generate in the first 48 hours, the more likely we are to reach our goal.
The Vision Worth Fighting For
I believe transformation shouldn't be lonely. I believe families should be able to support each other's growth. I believe teachers should have tools to help students overcome real challenges. I believe organizations should be able to tackle obstacles as teams.
But belief isn't enough. We need community support to make it real.
In 72 hours, we find out if enough people believe the same thing.
In 72 hours, the quest begins.
I hope you'll be part of it.
